Welcome to The IEP School! I am truly excited to share our vision with you. At our school, we are committed to creating a learning environment where each student’s unique needs, values, and strengths are not only recognized but celebrated. Our approach integrates individualized education with comprehensive therapeutic support to ensure that every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Mission Statement
To provide a neurodivergent-affirming educational process that is student-centered and trauma-informed for those who may benefit from a unique and individualized approach to learning.

To fulfill the individual needs of students who have previously been excluded from learning environments, the least restricted environments, or without support so that instead a process-based and personalized approach to their education can empower them to have sustained growth and a lifelong love of learning.

How Our Values are Incorporated
Safety is one of our top values, embedded in every aspect of our approach to ensure that our teaching environment is both physically and psychologically secure without restraints or seclusion. This commitment begins with the training of our staff and professionals, who are equipped to affirm students' needs while respecting their autonomy. Equally important is our dedication to honesty with transparency, which underpins our educational approach. We are committed to providing an education that withstands public scrutiny, ensuring that every aspect of our curriculum and practices is open and transparent.

Central to our philosophy is a person-centered and therapeutic education where we prioritize the IEP process. The IEP process is inherently collaborative, designed to address each student's unique therapeutic needs as part of the educational process by focusing on what is going to be most impactful for the student and their family. Holistic therapy solutions are considered imperative to the educational process which is why Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is embedded throughout the day. We create a learning environment that acknowledges students' histories of trauma, behavioral, and learning differences, ensuring that their needs are met before instruction begins. Thereby, providing the support necessary for effective learning.
